RCW 62 Running Chicken
Central area of the Running Chicken Nebula, also known as IC 2944, RCW 62 and Gum 42. Lambda Centauri (HD 100841, HIP 56561) is the bright star in the upper right of the image and is actually much closer to us at 380 ly than the Nebula.
